Hello all,

Hoping to get a little guidance. My 90 just finished cycling (using instant ocean to cycle the tank). Since the cycle my water column has what looks like millions of tiny floating particles. I know this my sound crazy but the water looks crystal clear from a distance until I get close up the I notice the particles. Just a little more info on my system. I'm using a 50gal/day RO/DI system this thing is brand new with only 200 gal on it so far. I put some filter floss and 1 micron filters in one of my sump chambers in an attempt top capture this to no avail. I did a 30 gal water change this morning no improvement. I am currently running a DSB with a fine sand. There is no livestock in the tank(about to order a CUC). Not sure if these particles are coming from the sandbed or does Instant Ocean have a reputation for this. If anyone can assist me in identifying the rootcause and/or eliminating these I'll be really grateful.

Sounds like..... lol remember without further info pics, how would I know? From my veranda, on my IPAD?

Anyway, guessing here:
1. Power heads are moving sand.
Aim up
2. Bubbles
Normal for first few weeks until return gets coated in bacteria
3. Bacteria bloom
Aim power head up

I will try to get a pic uptomorrow (not sure if my camera will capture them). I'm at work now. can't aim the powerheads. I'm running two MP-40's however they turned down to a slow rate.

I have Fine sand throught my tank, 2-4 inches.....

However, the front 5% I have crushes coral like 24 inches wide, 3 inches front to back, 1/4 deep due to two MP 40's....

Fine sand for my babies is a must...
