Vacations SUCK for this hobby...

Returned from vacation yesterday. Everything looked good. The only thing "out of the ordinary" was that ATO container was empty and return chamber was VERY low. This meant I had about 17 gallons of evaporation. Usaully about 7 gallons a week. Then found some wet carpet behing the stand. :unsure: OH ****! found a SLIGHT leak in a bulkhead. Tightened it and all was good. Then woke up this morning to even more water and tripped breaker. Freaking snails!! :mad2::mad2: Clogged a "custom" overflow from the fuge to the equipment sump. Water soaked power strip, electrical short, FRIED powerstrip. to much to list for today... Happily, no deaths or FIRES!!!! :thumbs::thumbs:

I am currently making some drastic changes to a system that has been working well for a while, but I am going to make some changes...:boo:

I can home Friday after traveling for work for six days, tr tank was not happy. I'm seriously thinkin about taking a break

I'll be taking a break pretty soon. Hell, if I had the motivation to deal with all the riff raff that comes with selling a set up, I'd probably do it now. But, meeting up with 20 different people would be way too time consuming and too much of a pain in the ***. It is easier to keep things on auto pilot than sell it all.

tell me about it. working 60 to 90hrs a week at the moment, not complaining.

the back wall was completely covered in pink algae. i still have some on the sides and front to go. that was fun to scrap off. seriously all i have time for is feeding and a weekly water change. anything else i just don't want to do anything for now.

Well the part you forgot to mention was "your on vacation every other week"! You have to stay home some time. You keep being gone so long and one day our gonna come home to an empty tank! Hey we're did all my corals go? Hmmmmm, :blush: take care, H
