Vortech MP40 ES Question/Problem

I have had my Vortech for a few months and like it but I have noticed that I have to reset the night mode a few times a month. What I mean is, if I set it to go in to night mode at 12a, less than a week later (couple of days) its at 12:30a, then 1a and so forth, so it is getting later and later.

Just recently I set it at 12:50a and it did great one night then the next night its 1a and it still hasnt kicked on the night mode.

Has anyone else experience this?

I also have a MP10 (old version) and it has had no problems what so ever.

Cory, I didn't have the ES controller so I really can't help you other than to tell you contact Ecosmart. Their CS is outstanding. Best of luck!

Check their forums on ReefCentral. It's a known issue.

I have heard about that as well. I know you need to reset it if you ever turn it off or remove the power cord, etc. A memory feature of when to put night mode on would be great for this product.

in a master/slave mode is it enough to put the master on a UPS so that it doesn't lose the night mode setting, will it propagate to the others? I'm already annoyed that they forgot after the first 5 sec power outage and I only had them for 1 week
