I am thinking about adding an MP10 to the back wall of my 125 display. I currently have MP40's at both ends pointing toward eachother and running Nutrient Transport Mode and Reef Crest Mode (antisync).

Do you think I would get more benefit putting the MP10 on my frag tank (48x18x12) or on the back wall of the 125?

Who else is running NTM? How do ya like it what are your experiences vs other modes?

I'm currently running tidal swell on my 93 cube. I started out with just an MP40 and have since added two MP10's. The 40 is on the back wall in EcoBack mode with the two 10's on the left and right glass.
I found that I couldn't get NTM to create the same wave pattern I'd get in Short pulse mode thru my apex. I opted to just run Short Pulse. I'm testing out different modes but I really dig Tidal Swell at the moment.

Edit: the EcoSmart modes are designed for three or more pumps. You can always give it a shot in your display, and have the frag tank as a backup plan.

I cant tell a difference between any of the modes. I run NTM with 2 MP40s, but I doubt the M is NT'ing much.

wow, i have never heard anyone ever say that. i have the exact same setup currently and when I am running NTM there is a very strong undertow throughout my tank and my protein skimmer goes nuts!

anyone else have experience with this mode or running 3 vortechs?

i think his point was that he only has 2 pumps...not the 3 that is required

Anyone else?

I threw the mp10 on the back for now. I can tell better pe on corals when the lights are off but same when on. Hopefully it will enhance growth or color. I'll keep updating if I think I have figured anything out

thats what i am trying to figure out! i literally have the mp10 at 10% or the lowest power it will allow, ive been running it for 3 days now and pe at night is the only difference i can tell for now, i usually get pretty good pe but not like this!

All growth and coloration has remained the same (or better?) since. Maybe better said is nothing bad has happened! :)
