It was thousands of these little excavators, he has within a 36 hour period lowered about 10lbs of live rock 4" to the glass bottom. Hey it's his home, if he does not like heights who are we to complain:D.

Here he is inspecting his roof.

And yelling at the kids across the street.

Speaking of the kids, here they are motoring over the dunes.

And finally for the really posh, you can stay in Ricordia Hills and see all the action.

The views are spectacular in this neighborhood.

Mike the tank looks awesome! That jawfish is just stunning. Mrs. Plantman made an excellent choice :D

Thanks Stacy, we are enjoying it, although the little bugger has forced us to do some rearranging. He already buried one of our red mushrooms and unless we tear his house down, we cannot get to it. We are hoping it will emerge through the sand.

Awesome!!! Good luck with him. The tank looks great, hope to see it in person some day!

thanks Bob,

next time the tour of tanks comes North East we will have to put it on it. But if you are ever heading towards Gainesville, you are more than welcome to stop by, just pm me and we can make it happen.

Nice tank! Your not too far from a few of us reefers in south ga. A buddy of mine and I are setting up 60g cubes now and cant wait to get them up and running. We'll have to get together some time and swap some frags!

If you dontmind me asking, who did you get that gorgeous jawfish from and how much.

We got it at fishscales, was 105.00. It is our last fish for the tank, we are as stocked as we want it now.

We have anywhere from 2-4" depending on the area. He went for the deeper bed which I understand they like. He does not stop digging and I was serious, he lowered the rock formation he chose as home all the way to the glass bottom.

Hmm... i better not than lol. I think he would take down all of my rock. Gorgeous tho.

Thanks all,

after friday when our final corals come in we should pretty much be done. Between the two large zoa rocks we added from fishscales and the three coming from Pacific East, that should fill it.

I'll post more picks with all the zoas open.

Mike,

It was a pleasure to have met your wife and you tonight. Your tank is absolutely stunning. I want a jawfish, but having figured out how to secure the top of my Solana without hanging my SunPod (which I don't wanna do). What did you do :p. When I grow up, hopefully my tank will look half that good.

Matt,

It was a pleasure meeting you as well. If you go to member tank gallery and open up the photobucket link in my first post you can see the canopy we built for it. It is basically 8" base molding with corner molding mounted inside it at the 4" mark. This accomplished 2 things, got the lighting further off the water and gave me room to mount a 3.5" fan inside the canopy to blow across the water and keep the water cool without dropping a ton of money on a chiller and gave me a shelf about 5" off the water to slide the glass top onto without interrupting gas exchange.
