My 10+ year old Gyre 1k went out. I’ve still got another gyre 2k dual head and mp10es qd but I like having multiple lower flow points so I will prolly replace the 1k. Whats new in recent years? Are vortech still considered the best?
I've switched over to Jebaos exclusively. At least as reliable as Vortechs for like a third of the price. I also hear good things about Hyggers, but I haven't tried them.

I have had good luck with jebao too. I have one running in my 120 for the last 3 years. The hyggers dont seem to gum up as often needing less cleaning and the controller is nicer than the jebao
Jebaos are great, solid and reliable, however i'm still on MPs, due to the lack of wire in the tank that I don't have to deal with having a cover for the tank. I think Jebao makes a knock off tho, I just haven't seen it in person.
