My 10+ year old Gyre 1k went out. I’ve still got another gyre 2k dual head and mp10es qd but I like having multiple lower flow points so I will prolly replace the 1k. Whats new in recent years? Are vortech still considered the best?
My hygger sparked at the electrical plug. That was the end of that adventureI've switched over to Jebaos exclusively. At least as reliable as Vortechs for like a third of the price. I also hear good things about Hyggers, but I haven't tried them.

I think it's important to get a pump more powerful than you need so you can run it at a fraction of max power thus extending the life. At least that will give you a better chance of it not burning out to soon. .02
