T tdam Active Member Market Messages 350 Reaction score 198 Jan 4, 2012 #24 So i did the deep cleaning on my skimmer. still, it seems not to be working that great. not that much dirty skim. my pump is one of those ones that i have to hit to get it started. Is it possible that my pump is weak and i just need to buy a new one?

W wbrown Member Market Messages 372 Reaction score 0 Jan 4, 2012 #25 either replace the pump or replace the impeller. I just ordered new impellers for all my skimmers, they really only last a couple years. Think mine now has 4 or so on it, so not a terrible expense.
