what is this thing

i have this thing on a live rock that is hard but at the top it is soft i dont think it is bad but i have no clue here is a picture of it please help asap so i know if i can put it in or not

Dont copy the URL. Select the picture with your browser and look to the right side of your screen. You should see "IMG" and then a box. Click that box and it will copy the link. The just "paste" into a post.

its that little brownish black squishy looking thing in the center

Looks like it's possibly a bony skeleton of something, but not sure what. Looks pretty harmless to me either way.
