Picked up one of these used over the weekend. Wanted to get a single pump originally to use for dosing kalk...but now I can't decide what to use the second pump for. Any suggestions?

No, it's fine, but if you're not gonna use it for dosing 2 part, why let it depreciate?

Is it better to dose two part than kalk?...I wanted to use kalk to take care of my top off water too. Two part seems like less of a hassle than mixing kalk all the time. Are these dosers better at running in short bursts or for long amounts of time. This is new to me so any help is appreciated.

I don't know the benefits of dosing, I use kalk. I really only have to mix it up about once a month, takes maybe 5min.

I dose;

Kalk by my ATO
Alk and Calcium Chloride via the same doser
Mag via a LiterMeter

I love dosing.

Infact i just purchased a complete new setup from LeterMeter a 3 pump system.

I don't mean to steal the thread but just wondered how you only mix your kalk once a month? You must have a big ATO container??

I was going to ask the same question. I thought Kalk was only good for like 48 hrs after it has settled? Or is that only when its not in a sealed container?

use the 2nd as an ATO or keep it as a backup

you could dose using just one of the pumps at a time with them both coming from the same solution - extending the life of the tubes & pump motors. Just set it up so they alternate
