Yeah those in the pic above are eunicid worms. Those will eat soft corals - so those are best removed.

But the vast majority of the rest of them are harmless and even beneficial.

It's a shame that people don't understand and appreciate them and see them as nothing more than something to make them squeamish... they do a lot of good.

In this case I do, for the big guy - i have hundreds of bristle worms in my tank - I just want the big one out, he scares me. put a trap in last night, caught a tiny one - gonna release him back. ya see rick, i get high nitrates (20-40ppm) and I tend to overfeed (im in therapy to stop it) so i really need my worms to help eat the poo, but i also have a big tank so a large worm pop dont bother me.
