What you guys think?

Prince Adam is He-Man's alter-ego. And yes, he wore lavender tights and a pink vest.

Nope, no Masters of the Universe fan here...

I'm going to start buying all the stuff to frame out the wall for it and to run the wiring and tile the floor and plumbing supplies.. That way we can start on a friday night or early saturday morning and do it all and have it in the wall over a weekend..

Try a friday morning. In a weekend is pushing it. Congrats on the free 15 gal. :yay: I don't remember which thread it was but a quote went something like this "Take the time you think it will take, multiply by 2 then add 2-4 hrs on top and you might be close to the time it will take" Couldn't be more accurate.

The first order of business is to clean it.. We popped it on the stand and sat the canopy of it so stuff wouldn't get in it.. Well.. Wasn't thinking about having to clean it at that point and now looking at it.. The top of the canopy is at about 6.6".. So now I got to get it back off the stand and onto the garage floor so I can clean it LOL..

...... the adventure begins...........

doc if your going to do a build thread, and i know you are, you need to start snapping pics from the very begining. include the cleaning in the thread.
this would be a good chance to show folks what its like to start with a used tank that they might buy from someone and all thats involved in getting it ready. great oppertunity here.

make sure you set it on 2x4's so folks can get their fingers under it to pick it back up.

I got a couple 4x4's in there I am going to lay out to sit it down on.. Jamie is wanting to post the build thread.. Which is fine with me. I have a tendency to forget about the build thread and never take pictures, so maybe she will get it in more detail..got to pick up about 5-10 gallons of vin. And a few of those Magic Erasers and a plastic scraper.. I should be able to find of those those ice scrapers at wal mart on the low..

Good luck with ice scrapers... 3 wally worlds and no ice scrapers. We are looking for one for my truck and Mel's car. Seem to be sold out at the moment.

Yeah babe. We really really need to cut down on the number of tickets your dept. gives out to my coworkers and to ARC members. Its just getting nutty.

That thought was originally the main option but the wife wants the entire living room back after all these years..

IE, you cut the hole in the wall, perform your maintnence behind/accessibility, and that nice clean look of a finished tank. but get yourself 3 side view.

I personally like the angle of a tank raised out from the wall, better sense of depth and more to see, yet still have the nice "polished" exterior rather than a free standing tank. just my 2 cents though.

this just rocks. is this yours????

Jamie is stopping and snaging a couple gallons on vinegar, some plastic putty knives and a spray bottle so I can work on getting the sump cleaned up.. Going to snap some before and after pictures of the sump for when I get done.. Hopefully it will be night and day..

How big is that tank Ares? It is beautiful. Have fun Ansley. You should log all of your time on the tank build, it would be interesting to see the man hours involved.
