What's the best peice of equipment you have purchased for your tank and why.
I have a 75 gallon rr tank,but hope to upgrade shortly.
looking for advice.
i have the basics but what would I benefit from more.i think I would eventually like to keep nothing but sps where now I have none.i have some Lps and softies at the moment.
I have a 30 gallon sump,coralife super skimmer,power heads ,pumps,heaters and halide lighting at the moment.i have 5 fish in the tank now and don't expect to add any more

I would say that the two things that you definitely do not want to skimp on are your lights and your skimmer.

Auto top off, without question. Everything else, whatever. I'd leave the hobby if I had to pay near constant attention to my water level.

In all honesty I've never put it to the test I'm running old apc backups but if I had the money I would check out vortex battery backups.

I would only hook up heaters and circulation pump.

Depends on your definition of best. Tunze Osmolator was the most convenient addition, but an Ecoxotic 453nm Blue Stunner Strip added the most wow factor to my tank of any purchase by far. I actually look forward to my main lights going off now.
