I'll start this one off.

Rare- Just because you don't see something in every tank, doesn't make it rare.

Rainbow- Marketing gimmik! Rainbow?!?! I think not. (most the time, anyway...)

1) People who buy fish against the mounds of advice of seasoned, experienced hobbyists and then experience problems because of it.
2) People who cannot pronounce "Chaetomorph" algae.
3) People who say "corals and invertebrates". Corals ARE invertebrates.

The industry in general, calling Dragonets, "gobies" and "blennies"... specifically Mandarin "Goby" and Scooter "Blenny".

Neither is a goby or blenny. They are Dragonets. Typically, gobies and blennies are easy to keep. Dragonets - not so much.

It's been that way as long as I've been in the hobby (25+ years) but it still drives me insane.
