where to get replacement glass cover for de halide pendant?

long story short the glass on my pendant got broke :doh:. ive been told it needs to be tempered glass, what do you guys think? anybody know where i can get a little piece? its rougly 8"x4"

It needs to be UV-shielding glass. SE bulbs have UV glass on the bulb; DE bulbs do not. Probably the company that made the pendant will be your best bet... I'm not sure if UV glass is tempered, but if it is it can't be cut to size, so it'll have to fit right.

Kennesaw glass can get you a piece.

But you only need the shield if it is a DE bulb.

lol, guess thatd help huh? its an aquamedic de pendant, i guess ill try to contact them but would prefer a quick local fix if at all possible. thank you colin, ill look into that!

just a little update in case anyone else ever runs into this problem. i called kennesaw glass and "i have no idea what youre talking about buddy, my best suggestion would be to google it", so i contacted aqua medic, they had the replacement glass for $10.25
