I have a 29 gallon tank with a solid clean up crew and only 2 clownfish. I do weekly 15 percent water changes. Filtration wise I run an hob filter with chemipure elite. I do not undestand why my nitrates stay at 20 ppm and never go down. Even after the waterchange they arent going down. Any one know whats going on?

Tank is 35 days old. I am using an aquaclear 50 with one unit of chemi pure elite

IMHO, your tank is too young to be looking to drive down nitrates just yet. You shouldn't even consider adding any SPS corals until your tank is much more mature. It hasn't even had enough time to completely cycle and start to stabilize yet. Be patient.

What test kit do you use?

FYI- If it is an API they are notoriously inaccurate.
