I added a fairy wrasse to the dt today and my powder blue tang instantly got upset. Chased him around for about 30 sec until the wrasse decided the safest place was the overflow....

Its very difficult to see him in there (dark) but I saw that's where he went. Any tricks to get him out. Given that he's new to the tank I'm pretty worried about stress at the moment

Depending on the size......you may be able to fish him out with a net. I had to do that with my male black ocellaris periodically. Just built the screens to keep him out of there for good this past weekend. I miss the coast to coast overflow on my old acrylic tank. Overflows can be a PITB.

Wrasse is out. Powder blue is dead set on killing him still. Had a flood in the middle of all this. Shorted out an mp40 and not enough salt water made up to refill. Hell of a day

Maybe I should make another thread but was I crazy to think the tang/wrasse Woukd get along...the tang is really worked up

Once established, tangs can be pretty nasty. It's best to introduce new fish just before lights out or after the lights go off, if possible.

Yes, tangs suck! Lol!
...and so do the GA Bulldogs! :-)

Lol well after I saw that the tang was not giving up I cut all the lights out. So I guess we will see. The wrasse looked pretty stressed
