I have been going to ask this for a while now but kept forgetting or not around the computer while thinking of it. So how did everyone come up with their identifying screen name? It normally does have meaning that is special or specific to you.

I have 2 that I use but predominantly I use my ARC one everywhere now.
My first one is Ga_Zuki. This one was made up from my son at the time somewhere around 6ish. I have a Suzuki Samurai that is not stock, far from it. And he was trying to say Gigantic Suzuki and it came out “GAZUKI”!!! Just image a 6 yr old saying something very forceful. It was waaay too funny. I use this screen name on a couple of off road boards.

My second one is the one I currently use everywhere it can form Boy Scouts. When a youth attains his Eagle it is very big deal only about 3% of all registered Boy Scouts earn it. I myself never got Eagle, :^( I got the fumes when I was 15 (girls, cars) and also we just did not have any money at all. My son on the other hand hopefully will have his Eagle by this summer before he goes on his 80 mile hike at Philmont. (Wish I could go).

As an adult we have several endeavors and training opportunity’s. One is called Wood Badge. It’s kidof like business management training and you have several tasks that have to be completed. And it takes about 12 to 18 months to complete. Which is also billed as the Adult version of making Eagle. It’s in a patrol method as with the Boy Scouts.

My patrol was the Eagle patrol and the course number was SR 92-52. So this is how I came up with Eagle9252.

So tell us how and where did you get yours.

Mine doesn't have a big story behind it other than to say that when we changed internet providers years ago, my wife set up the e-mail accounts and choose that for me. It just kind stuck. Long before that though I had DelbertCr. That came from the days when AOL was brand new. When I signed up it said I needed a screen name and I was going to put in Delbert Crowbar as a joke but ran out of space. LOL

I like getting' hammered(Ripped) and staring at fish tanks(Tide). Seemed clever enough

Mine started with Xbox Live about 6 or 7 years ago when it came out,I didnt have a email back then lol.Ive been installing and serviceing Fire Sprinklers for 20 years so thats how I got sprinklerman, the 500 part came about when sprinklerman was ready taken so Sprinklerman500 was born and still rules to this day!Email,Xbox live account and my Arc screen name!

made a bet with someone on another forum. i now use it on about a dozen different forums and sites

Nothing to do with 'Bama, huh? That was my first thought. Just another obnoxious, drunk bama fan.

Mine's not too flashy, it's just my initials.

Several years back, I went to Deals Gap(Tail of the dragon) with a car club I used to be a member of for our national annual meet. As we were driving there, we stopped for pics and saw a street sign "Moosebranch Trail" or something similar. Our president kinda started calling me MooseBranch jokingly and it stuck with me lol

JBD are my initials, and reefs because... well... because I'm working on a reef tank.

Boring, I know.

Well hud is the first 3 letters of my last name and 3339 is how you spell Eddy on a non smart phone so hud3339. Also I have famous3339, my friends called me famous back in the day famous Eddy. Nothing exciting

Funny you ask that. I was asked about 5 times at the meeting. We adopted a dog(bullmastiff) about 15 years ago named Heather. We called her Heffer cause she was so darn big. My wife all ways went around saying its a my heff. She was very special to us and when we had to let her go, that phrase was to be used in her memory. Hope that answers that I am not Amy Heff.

Have to admit, I almost asked you yesterday. Great answer buy the way. :-)

If you remove the bama fan part, then that would still be appropriate!!

Holabird is a very small town next to the very small town where I grew up in South Dakota. Been using it for over 20 years as email and forum name. Just easy for me to remember and no one else would use it.

Talk about triple redundant. Small Town, Small Town, So. Dakota. You just said the same thing three times. LOL But don't feel bad. We were the largest town in the county with 1800 people. Shoot, felt like there were that many at the meet yesterday. :yay:

Maelstrom is a very powerful whirlpool, 79 is my birth year. I made it up when I joined a reef forum years ago..... Kind of stuck. Finally set up a saltwater tank (after many years of freshwater) and got bit by the bug!
