Zeo Reactor placement

So I have a REALLY SMALL sump for my 120 display, because a third of my underside of the stand is sealed off for electrical stuff.

So I'm thinking to my self, "self, there's no room for another reactor".

But then I think, "Self, why can't I put a reactor in my frag tank?

So... why not? the frag system is attached to my main display. Any reason I can't use it as an extended sum for a zeo reactor?

One of the requirements of the Zeo system, from my understanding, is that you need to regularly pump or stir the reactor with the Zeo media in it. The bacteria or whatever accumulates on the media then sloughs off, enters the aquarium, and is consumed by corals and fish. So I would think you need a direct pathway to the return pump.

Using your frag tank could work if you don't use a filter sock or if your skimmer wouldn't catch the slough off from the Zeo Reactor.

Most Zeo reactors are placed in the return section of the sump, so the stuff from the reactor goes directly into the tank via the return.

The above from my research into the Zeo system. I decided not to do it.

ya. I don't have a filter sock anywhere on my system. The overflow (both from the tank, and the frag system) does go into the sump and pass around the skimmer before being returned though. With the Bubble King Mini 200 I'm afraid not a lot would get bye it.

I suppose I could easily re rout the frag tank overflow to the return area though.

Could you route the return from the reactor (while in the frag tank) into the sump return section?
