2 questions?

1. will a 48" light fit in a 55 gal hood, what is the actual measurement of a 48" light fixture?

2. i have maybe 100 heads of candy cane coral, and 0ne head looks like a 4" stream of drool daggling from a great danes jowl, (no offense black cat) sup wit dat?

1) Depends on the brand of fixture and how it's configured... fans/power cord/switches.

2) Picture would help but it sounds like something is stinging and killing it. What's close to it?

Hmm pagoda isn't usually terribly aggressive. Is it upstream or downstream?

Usually something that's upstream can put a whammy on it. Doesn't have to be touching either. I had a hammer once put a bad hurt on a candy, and it wasn't close enough to actually touch, but it was downstream and it was enough to do "chemical warfare" and exhibit the same symptom you are describing.

If it was more than one head, I'd wonder if it was temperature related, but since you mentioned it's just one, I'd look closely at what is adjacent, and try moving the colony or the neighbor.

I just noticed one of my candy cane heads like that this morning too, just one head out of 20 or so, hard to tell what's causing it it's a nano so things are close
