Do you usually spring for the “name brand” power supply or get cheaper Amazon power supplies? Reef Octopus charges $55 for a replacement but I can grab it from Amazon for less than $20. I assume as long as voltage and amp output matches it should be good

Just for me, I would never pay $55 for one if I could get a matching one for much less. Fry's used to be a good place to go locally for this type of thing, where you could check to see if the connectors match, but they've closed, and Amazon is cheaper anyway. But I do have a multimeter and would be perfectly comfortable splicing the connector from the old one if it was not an exact match.

I would splice the old but I miss placed it so I don’t even have it 🤣

Does input matter as much? I’ve found the output matching but it’s been difficult finding one with matching 2.0A, most seem to be 1.5A.

this is the original specs:
ROP-VARIOS-24PA
24V Power Supply for RODC 3500/3500S, RODC 5500/5500S and VarioS 2/2S, 4/4S Pumps

Model: GM601-240250
Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 2.0A
Output: 24V ⎓ 2.5A

And this is the closest I’ve found
TKDY 24V AC to DC Power Supply Adapter for Dymo 4XL 310 315 320 330 400 450 Label Thermal/Twin Turbo/Turbo Labels Printer/Duo Printer/Label Writer. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PH6LFK...abc_ZNVZJVR5AWSX1NTEJ11Y?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Edit: this actually has a 2.5A input

The input will be 115 or 120 volts, probably any you buy will be good for 115-240 volts. The output amps must be equal to our higher as Bill said, if it was 2 amps a 1.5 amp would not be advisable, but a 2 or 3 amp would be fine. The output volts should be the same.
