What do you guys feed your anthias? I know they eat zooplankton and smaller food particles but Ive been feeding mysis and rods food and they seem to eat the smallest pieces and i dont see how that would be enough. I guess i should feed 3-4 times daily in small doses.

I feed mine PE Mysis and even the smallest female will take the larger pieces. I also feed Rod's food sometimes, but the male doesn't pay much attention to it. I feed twice a day.

I'd love to have anthias, but i don't think i'd have the time to feed so often during the day :c

How do you guys handle vacations with fish that need multiple feedings per day?

My father in law lives down the road and enjoys coming over to feed the fish while we are gone.

I feed my Lyretails Vpure Spirulina Brine Shrimp/Mysis Mix (Flake), frozen mysis and Rods food two times a day.

I've had a trio of Bartlett's around 6 months. I feed small pellets from an autofeeder 4x daily. Hikari mysis occassionaly. Hikari is smaller than the PE mysis. Everything in the tank seems to like Hikari better.

get one of those $30 eheim autofeeders. Set it and forget it ;).

I feed mine once or twice a day from the feeder (spectrum pellets) and then supplement that later in the evening with a cube of cycolpeeze, hikari mysis, pe mysis or rods.

When I bought my dispars from Rit back in February last year they went crazy for some of those micro pellets whenever Jaime fed them, so I kept that up when i brought them home.

Heck... pellets were the only thing my powder blue would eat for a month before he started picking at rods and mysis.

My anthias pay no attention to flake or pellets. Maybe I need to try a new brand. Any recommendations?
