Any one have recommendations for a waterproof video camera i can connect to my apex and put in my tank to view from apex dashboard.
I just ordered a normal apex controller, lab grade ph orp and salinity probe, and a PM 2 to connect the salinity probe to0.
I am wanting to set everything up wirelessly but have heard bad reviews about setting it up through wifi. any suggestions?

Try to avoid WiFi if you can. You need a wired connection to upgrade firmware and knocking that out right away (if you can) will help in the long run.

I am unaware of a submersible camera that works with the Apex. Check the Neptune forum on Reef Central (if you can tolerate the slowness of the site) to find the list of supported cameras that people have tested so far. I have not seen a list from Neptune, the list appears to be created from the user community.

Apex responded to me on twitter giving me this link: http://www.reeftronics.net/dashcam">http://www.reeftronics.net/dashcam
I looked at several of the cameras, although none of them look to be water proof. I am trying to mimmic mr saltwater tank tvs video of what the Apex guy did on MANCA 2012 (
Mr. Saltwater Tank TV Covers MACNA 2012 - YouTube
). putting a camera submerged in the tank.

does any one else not find this interesting. i need to have a submersible webcam i my tank i just cant find any; after about 3 hours of looking.

Edit:

if i use the wired connection to upgrade everything then switch it to a wifi connection would that work. my tank is in the besement and the modem and everything is in the room directly above it. i just dont know and am kinda scared to put holes in the wall and run a wire 1 level up... more that i have no idea how to do that.

Check out the new go-pro hero 3. I believe it is, or you can get a waterproof version.

If you look closely at the video, that camera is mounted above the water looking down into the tank. A typical IP cameral isn't going to last long in that environment (humid salt spray, etc). Another option instead of underwater is a camera mounted next to the tank looking in the side.
