I would like to add another Tang (or 2) to my 90 gallon tank. It does have various types of coral in it.

The current livestock is a Tomini Tang, Flame Hawk, Purple Pseodochromis, Rusty Angel, two Picasso Clowns, Diamond Goby, Jawfish, Firefish and a few Greem Chromis.

I assume that the presence of the Tomini Tang impacts the possibilities. Please let me know what type of luck you guys have had with different Tangs in a tank with coral.

Also, I will most likely make the new Tang(s) my first online fish order. Any good or bad stories about the online providers like Live Aquaria etc?

I have a Tomini in my tank with a yellow tang, large purple tang, regal tang, paired melannarus wrasses, midnight blenny, a pink diamond goby, an engineer goby, a copperbanded butterfly, an arc-eye hawkfish, a coral beauty angel and a juv emporer angel without any issues whatsoever. He's a model citizen. I'd be more concerned about the purple pseodochromis than anything else you have. They tend to be very territorial especially if they were there first.

+1

I know a guy who has one tang that has outgrown his 120

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out the different families. I do have my wish list narrowed down to two possibilities that are meant for smaller tanks but I'm not sure which would be better with the Tomini.

I would'nt put a naso in a 90 , more like a 180

the only tang i would put in a 90 is maybe a yellow eye kohl tang

Lost on what happened there, it was not a real Blond Naso, it was a Regular Naso, listed at 75 gallons, like the Powder Blue. They do list a Blond Naso at 180.

Blonde or not it's a naso. Same fish.

Edit: Blonde or not it's a naso. Same fish.

That one was on my list Heath, but isn't is the same family as the Tomini I already have?

Edit: Live Aquaria lists the Chevron at 180 as well. Easy to get confused.

Edit: I would order the Red Sea tonight if I knew for sure there would not be a problem with the Tomini.

This will be the tang going in my 75, whenever I can find one. If you find it let me know. Been looking for a while.

Those are the only tangs I would sugest in a 90. how aggression would play out, well every fish is different. personally I would stick with one tang in 90.

The Blues are rated for 180 gallon I believe. I may have been looking at the family wrong trying to determine what would work best. My Tomini is from the Acanthuridae family, or something like that. Most of the Tangs on Live Aquaria are from the same family. Maybe I am supposed to be comparing the scientific names?
