Best Tang for 90 Gallon Tank / Online Purchase

All tangs are in the family Acanthuridae. You need to look at genera. You already have a Ctenochaetus. This is the only genus that should really be housed in a 4' tank. You may get by with a small yellow. Nasos, hippos, sailfins all get way too big for a 90 gallon.

Ahhh, thanks Stacy. Can you tell I teach Government and Economics, not Biology?

When you mentioned that earlier I was thinking Hippo. The Blue's are very pretty. I need to turn this into an excuse to upgrade to a 180.

Is there a difference between the blue hippo and the blue tang?

Live Aquaria shows the Hippo as a "Blue" Tang and shows another as a "Pacific Blue" that does not have any black markings.

Most fish keeping experts (not vendors) recommend an 8' tank for Paracanthurus hepatus</em> tangs. A 60g is not a suitable habitat for a fish that can approach 1' in length. The smallest tank size recommend for any tang is a 4' tank- 75 gallons.
