Blue Linkia accidental suicide

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a blue linkia who wedged himself inside a small opening in my live rock. He hasnt moved in about a week and fear he is dead. I've touched him and he is hard as a rock. I don't think I can get him out without ripping the rock apart. Will he foul my tank overtime or should I just let the critters have him for an endless dinner?

He will start turning white and disintegrate into mush. I would take him out or get a harlequin shrimp to finish him off.

If I'm not mistaken, dead stars can release (toxins?) into the tank. Take it out...

My fromia didn't move for nearly a month. Now he's all over the tank. Event had a stint in one of the mp60's
