Bow Front vs Rectangular Tanks?

the 25 inch is as about as deep as I can easily reach. You will need more light to get to the bottom for those items that require more light for the 31 inch. I always like a longer swimming area for the tangs and those that like to swim. On the deeper you probably can out more rock but I did fine with 18 inch. My vote would be for the 48 long and 25 deep. Its all in one's preference.

I second Joe's comment. Especially if you decide to go with t5's b/c you'll be able to use the longer 48" bulbs. If you do MH, though, I kinda like the dimensions of the 95 wide.

Agreed with the above. Harder to reach the bottom and you will need more lighting. Some fish such as tangs would prefer more swimming length as well in a longer tank.

Anyone have opinions on which 90?

90 Gal. Long 48L x 18W x 25H
90 Gal. Tall 36L x 18W x 31H

or maybe the
95 Gal. Wide-36 36L x 24W x 25H
if u get a longer tank(48) u can have a tang.

Thanks for all the inputs. Ok, so the 90 Tall is off the table. I'll have to think about the length and width. My wife and I just did a walk around the house trying to figure out where to put it and really came up with only one possibility. A 48" might be a little tight so the space may dictate I get a 36" long tank. I may try Simon's trick of taping the area to get a better idea of the footprint. Unfortunately, we'll have to get rid of the sectional that is in the way at the moment.

just see what works out because if u have a tall tank then u can have a seahorse tank.

I just got them back but wont by passing through until next week. I would be glad to help you with plumbing and your sump or whatever you need. I have a T-5 MH mix on my tank so it might help you to be able to decide.

That would be great, thanks! I'll contact you sometime next week.
