I have a friend that ordered some of the BRS Fuji dry rock and has lots extra!!!! Other than the extended period of time for it to seed and cycle are there any drawbacks to this stuff? The reviews are all 5 stars, but I wanted to see if anyone here has ever used it in their own aquariums.

I used BRS “Reef Saver” Dry Aquarium Eco Rock (not exactly the same but close enough) when I started my RSM250. I'd give it 5 stars too except for it looks crappy for about 6 months until it starts to get covered in coraline and other good stuff. If you use it be sure to get a couple of 100% pest free seed rocks. Here's a pic of what it looked like in the begining, the seed rocks are the coraline covered pieces.

I was looking into this, I would love to hear more about what others have to say.

I believe what he has is the Pukani. He mentioned that he only needed about 1/2 of what he ordered because of the size/weight ratio. The rocks were ALOT bigger than he expected. The short Demo Video that BRS shows the difference as well.

yea.. i have a chunk of pukani in my closet that is half the size of that aquarium haha... saving it for the "one day tank" haha....
