Build: Red Sea P500

bought this guy from costco.com after all this crazy weather lately and some short black outs. I figure $500 is worth the peace of mind over stressing how long the outage will last and will my tank survive.

Disappointing. Been set up for 2 months now and for some reason, frags I test in there die off in a few days. All parameters are stable, so I just have to wait longer.
I know your the man, but just out of curiosity did you use any of your bio bricks or anything from your main tank to help sort of stabilize it or boost the micro bacteria persay?

Nope. I had some bio balls that I had soaked for a few weeks but maybe not long enough. Also, the nutrients is kind if light, might need to feed more.

I have a generator as well. Works great if I'm home . Now looking into some sort of 4 hr back up life support system that will keep stuff alive till I get home or notice the powers out.

I have an automatic air pump that kicks on and can last for 8 hours, water temp won’t drop that fast, so I have time to react.

so did an ICP test because I had my prized oregon tort colony RTN on me out of no where. Nothing stands out. So, not sure what's really going on...

I lost my Oregon tort frag as well, I get the feeling that coral is more difficult to grow than other sticks.

Since this was a wild I grew out. I’ll name it C14 Nuclear Wasteland.

Two different light settings

Sump and skimmer cleaning day.

I wish I took a before pic but you can imagine since I never cleaned the sump since I started. It was pretty nasty.
