Bummed over this fish

Thanks bud .
I bought a new bubble tip yesterday and never got to introduce them to it.
I think more than anything I hate failure I have a stubborn determination about me but I'm positive that's a quality shared in this hobby and i know that chemically my water is clean and my parameters are all within optimum ranges , so maybe if I had seen more physical signs earlier I could have treated differently but I feel good about my effort

Its most likely like you said Brook or some disease.

Start treating the tank. Qt everything you get from a store EVERYTHING!

Rarely have I seen Brook. And I see a lot of clownfish. Most times it's just mishandling stress from transport. That's why I don't ship. But yeah, QT is a good practice.

My best guess would be Brooklynella based on the symptoms you describe in the male.

Unfortunate losses.

James has certainly seen a lot of clowns (and thats an understatement). However, brook is not as uncommon as it seems, IMO. Its just too often undiagnosed and/or misdiagnosed. It is lethal in most cases and it is extremely contagious. Its most common in the summertime and warm weather.

Reagrdless, I would watch your other fish closely and perhaps prepare that you *may* have to treat them too. If it was indeed brook that was introduced to your tank, you may have a greater issue at hand.

JMO.

I separated the 2 fish and had put the male in the display , but put him back in qt once I thought about how stupid that was of me , they both died in qt , my other fish look good , so I'm hoping for the best from the brief exposure to the male whom at the time showed no symptoms.
I keep thinking now if I had kept them separate he may have not gotten sick from her , but most likely it would have infected all my fish had I left it be.
