C3's Foam Rock Wall Nano Build !!!!!!!!!

I know, this was just a dry run the finished aquascape is totally different.

would it have been easier to just start off by applying the dry sand and pieces of rock to the foam while it was still "wet" ?

I love the outcome..

I never thought that it would be acceptable to use spray foam in an aquarium.. HAHA

No, when the foam was wet the sand would not adhere to it as well, Also the Epoxy makes the wall hard like a rock on the outside.

gotcha...

I'm a big fan of epoxy.. the two part has a TON of uses..

again, it looks GREAT....

So after I did the dry run I noticed that , I cut too much foam from the back of the wall for it to sit flush with the back chamber.

So I had to add more foam to fill it in and re trim and Epoxy it:grrr:

After the Extra foam was added and epoxied, and a little cure time.

WE HAVE WATER:yay::yes:

I also bought a nice piece of seed rock from Petco of all places, It was full of life and is covered in Green, red, pink aand purple Coraline.:up: And it was fully cured as I have noticed it sitting in the store for over a month or so.

Also if you are following you will notice I cut the return vents of of the wall since it was making my Overflow/Surface skimmer ineffective.

So after the tank sit for 2 weeks, I did my first water test everything was ok since all of my LR was cured for a month before I started the build.:)http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l112/C3clothing/Tank/100_1158.jpg?t=1250050026" alt="" />

But........................ I HAVE A TEMP Problem:doh:.
Figure I would since the tank is setup in my office room 2 custom Built Desktop PC's and 2 Dell Laser Printers. Lots of HEAT!!!!!!!!!

Installed a Ceiling fan and a 7$ walmart fan and the prob is gone:yay:
But now the tank Evaps Water like a marathon runner. Auto Top off on the way.:up:

Figured I could add a Couple of fish to start the nitrogen Cycle.

If you look at the last pick the Fire fish has already found a home under the gry rock in the back of the pic, Its at the bottom of the wall and has a nice bit of room in there for him.:yes:

I love a firefish. He'll hang out most of the time there until feeding time. Then he gets active. Later if you want something really cool and small that will remind you of shark week during feeding check out a neon/cleaner goby.
That damsel will get large though and will be the devil when you add more fish

Yeah I have a glass Thermo too, The damsel will be coming out soon though. He doest bother the firefish they follow each other around like they are paired up

What's the reading on the glass? May just need a fan on the tank to cool it down or upgrade the fans on the computer equipment

More pics to come tommorow!!!!!!!!!

DRASTIC CHANGES HAVE TAKEN PLACE...........:ahh::cheers::w00t:

Probably too late, but see if you can take those fish back. Start the nitrogen cycle with a piece of shrimp from Publix, not with fish that will suffer and likely die.

The reading was 86.8, But the walmart fan did the job fine.

The CPU Fans are all clean, I built them myself and they both have the sensor set in the bios for a heat issue,

The bigger prob may be the way the contractors installed my ac unit, This room just doesn't get that much air flow.
