Crazy Clowns!

I just put in a green bubble tip anemone a few days ago and my dimwit clowns are trying to host the goniopora! Before now they never tried to host anything. They will swim right next to the anemone, they" sleep" within two inches of it, but decide to go for the goniopora. Now the goniopora won't extend... just my luck! Shdsh! If i wasn't frustrated id be laughing!

Bubble tip anemones are not natural hosts for all types of clownfish. It is possible that yours never lives within your GBTA.

BTW, clowns do not host anemones. Some anemones, however, may host clownfish.

Yeah, I know about the "hosting" thing...it was late and I was working on three hours of sleep and I got my words mixed up.

Got up this morning and one of the clowns was bouncing around in the anemone (anemone not too thrilled by it so I will have to be watchful)...so maybe they figured it out. I know GBTA aren't the natural host for an ocellaris, but if they're going to try with the goniopora, why not the GBTA, right?

These clowns are crazy!! I love watching them, such great personalities!

As common as they are clownfish are one of my absolute favorites. Glad yours are beginning to take to their new home.

my clowns are my favorite, also.... call them mutt and Jeff since they are inseparable. they dont go longer than a minute without being together.

We call the weird looking one Rich, but mutt sounds good too!
