Crew's 120g Reef Tank

They're incredible. The amount of light they put out is unreal and the corals really pop. I can't comment on any sort of difficult coral yet as I only have zoas/ricordea, but I am seeing growth on 2 of the zoas and they've been in there about 10 days at this point.

Photogs!

First - someone asked to see my RODI set-up a while back.

And where it attaches to the wall - the washer outlets.

1 flame hawk - Iago

1 carpenter wrasse - Hey Zeus

Love the cardinals names

Some updated photos!

It's been just over two months since I've updated. Lots of growth in my corals. Some are obvious in the photos, others are not. In typical fashion, the tank looks bluer than it actually is and the colors are a little washed out in the photo. I really should learn how to use my wife's camera.

Any suggestions on additional fish/corals?

I have three tangs on my wish list, but realize that I should probably wait due to the aggression.

I'm thinking of additional stix to the right of the birdsnest

What all do you have? I see the midas blenny, cardinal, and leopard wrasse. I'd do some clowns of course :D especially with that nice BTA in there. If you're home to feed enough I'd consider some anthias and some more wrasses. A single tang or two should be good in a 120g, something like a kole or other bristletooth tang.

The current supporting cast:
2 Domino Clowns
2 Banghaii Cardinals
1 Midas Blenny
1 Carpenter Wrasse (male?)
1 Leopard Wrasse
1 Flame Hawkfish

I was thinking anthias but don't know that I'd be able to feed enough to support them. I was also looking at firefish, a foxface, a goby of some sort, other wrasse.. who knows.

Tangs I'm interested in:
Powder Blue Tang
Yellow Tang
Mimic Tang
Kole Tang
Powder Brown Tang
Tomini Tang

I was hoping there were some fish that I wasn't considering.

I have a Sailfin and Tomini Tang that I am thinking of selling. Wanting to get a Yellow Eye Kole Tang, they are awesome fish. Would also like a Purple Tang if I could find one for a reasonable price.

Have you seen the longspine cardinalfish that Jorge (Pure Reef) has in the big reef tank? They are really awesome schooling fish and his has bright blue eyes, beautiful fish.

Those little guys are awesome. I may have to add a small school.

wow that is a sweet build man. very impressive. love the scape and the plumbing.

Do you have any reactors going on?

I don't. I might switch over to a calcium reactor in the future, but for now I'm doing ok by hand dosing vodka and auto dosing 2 part.

I don't think I've mentioned it in this build anywhere else, but I'm running matrix and purigen in my sump as well. The water is very clean.

thought you needed a reactor for matrix to work. similar to denitrate.
