Crocea clam help!

But the shell has to open in order for the mantle to extend. He has opened a lot more since the lights came on, so hope for the best.

it could take a week or even up to a month for recovery. Like Jeremy said, if it has opened up a little more when the lights came, that's a great sign. Except for clean water, there is nothing that you can do, so hopefully, it was just more irritated than injured. If you want, post a pic once a day here, especially after the lights have been on for a couple of hours.
 
I would love for this little guy to make it - when he does I sure will have learned my lesson - well I guess I have already learned the lesson.

+1. Even small (tiny, like a few cm) clams can get over 150% of their required "living" energy from photosynthesis.
