Seems everybody has touched on levels to parasites and everything else. The only time I've had STN followed by some RTN was due to 100+ black limpet snails coming out at 2am swarming my acros.... Never seen it before and though this may not be likely in your system, you never know what may be attacking your guys when your not around. My point is, if all other solutions fail, check out the system at night and check that off the list. I know it sucks but posting some really good pics could help identify the problem here. Same thing happened to me and it turned out my ALK was too low...like 8.4 by salifert

8.4 is perfect alk.not low by any standards.my alk is always 8.

yall are very welcome.yeah,alk going from 14-7 is big time instability.keep it stable and things will improve.
