yeah loose the bioballs and if you dont have any corals turn off your lights for a few days and if you want them on only do so for a few hours it should help control your algea problem a little more also do a big water change to eleminate the phosphate levels in your tank but first try to scrub the rock the best you can ...and if possible and you do have corals water ever water you dump out put into a rubbermaide container about 12 bucks and put corals in there with lights fish can live without lights so you can keep the algea in the dark for a few days and it should really start to vanish also make sure you put a ppowerhead in with the corals for circulation ....ps if you want corals get some powerheads sam at aqua buys sells them for pretty cheap and he can help you with anymore ? you may need ......happy reefing
