Just an FYI if you ever need buckets in a hurry - not that we dont already have garage fulls of buckets but heh..

Firehouse subs sells their old pickle buckets for $2 with lid and the $$ goes to charity. They are basically homer buckets with the Firehouse logo but comes with a white lid.

Nice! And they ought to be pretty clean, since pickle juice is just vinegar. Might be a little smelly though...

my thoughts exactly - great for a breakdown and move or livestock sell off.

I need some buckets... dunno where there's such a shop in my area though :-/

I've gotten a couple from them. Be prepared for the smell. It never seems to go away. Pickle juice aroma tells go get old after awhile.

In Woodstock Jenn. Left on 92 next to the FedEx/Kinko's. That is next to Dunkin Donughts and Quicktrip.

I know where that is - right near my auto mechanic and a branch of the bank I go to ;) Thanks!

I had a TON of buckets but I gave a bunch away recently - sent some large corals home with somebody who forgot to bring 'em back and they live on the other side of town.

Lol so thats why the sand i got from you stank. I was trying and trying to wash it but the smell would not go away. i ended up not using it lol. Well dang

How can anything that will stain plastic, be alright for a tank?

(I thought the argument "for" vinegar is that it rinses clean, leaving no residue, obviously, this isn't the case if it will stain the smell of a plastic bucket)

Jenn, I'm glad they found one in your area... if there hadn't been one, I was going to say that you really need to move. Their sammiches are THAT good!

Heh my first job was in a sub shop - I don't eat 'em anymore (overload). I've made more subs than you'll ever eat!
