Flambouyant Cuttlefish

Ever since i saw a special on cuttle fish a few years ago I've been amazed. This type is a smaller version that actually walks on the bottom. Do you think one of these could be kept in a home aquarium? In a few years I plan on having a tank dedicated to the regular cuttle fish because they are so awesome. The smaller ones of course but i was wondering what you guys thought about having one of these!

Here you go Blake. Reefkeeping magazine article. Author is a guy in San Fran that breeds Cuttles and keeps them in a tank.

Also, check out TONMO.com. It's a forum for those that specalize in cephalapods.

There are many on there who keep these. Be prepared. They eat ALOT, and from what I understand, can be difficult to train to frozen.

Rich Ross (who made that Manus video I posted before) works for the California Academy of Science at the Steinhart Aquarium with their cephalopds, and recently bred some. Here is a hatchling:

That is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. I'd like to have a cephalapod tank one day, but that's far in the future.

Awesome thanks for the info guys, if you guys see some at macna snap some pics. I knew people had kept the regular cuttles but i didnt know if anyone had kept a flambouyant yet.

My understanding is that the cuttle has a short life span. Once they mate and lay eggs thats it. I wonder if this breed is the same
