Hair Algae Galore

So far no change with the AlgaeFix nor the Tech M.
lets see if this is going to do the trick...

I have some caulerpa that grows like mad that I can bring up in Dec to ya to throw in the bottom of that. Aim one of the lights a little down. Alot of rubble as well.
What's the temp on the algae sheet with 4 lights?

Thanks Keith although I'm not sure if I can make the Dec party :(
It's hard to measure the temp of the sheet but it seems like one degree less then my tank temp. The water at the bottom is the same as my tank temp. And yes, I'm going to reposition the lights so the bottom part of the sheet gets more light.

Gee, at some point, you need to ask yourself how much excess nutrient do you need to expend before it's completely depleted?

I don't think you'd have had any more growth if you'd have used Miracle Grow fertilizer

I have issues with algea hair also. But it is just in the center of my rocks and has not effected my water perimeters. I have 3 tangs that munch on it once in awhile. I do my normal water changes, testing, filtration cleaning, etc. I look at like this, as long as my perimeters are great, fish are not sick, and corals keeps swaying in the current, I'm not sweating the algea.

Hanin I just went through a messy algae cleanup...It's not quite gone, but it is almost done.

I was overfeeding as I stated above (on purpose to nurse Leopards back to health).

I started rinsing PE Mysis & Hakari Brine in RO (Still add a few drops of Selcon, though)
I did 25% weekly changes or more
I changed GFO & Rox carbon weekly
I upped Vodka dosing to 11 ml per day
I did nine doses of algaefix (then stopped)
I changed out some sand (2 times, 7 days apart)
I changed out some rock with dry

At this point, all the algae is dead except a few areas which I assume is Bryopsis (Photo in my build thread, and as Dave has stated, it looks like Bryopsis! I apparently had numerous types of different hair algae "brands", which I thought was 1 species...those others died with the Algaefix & Nutrient Reduction)

Started Raising my mag using Kent M, I'm at day 2 at 1800. All Turbo snails have died, and all my acropora is looking better (probably more from the recovery of the nutrient issue)

Remaining patches of Algae are Starting to die.
