I haven't introduced my 4-5" Aus Harlequin Tusk to the display tank yet and a little concerned with how he will interact with smaller fish like mandarin, small wrasse, etc.

Anyone have experience with this situation?

He would do well so long as you have an extremely powerful and B-A skimmer running..

;)

Yeha, I'm waiting on this guy at MRC to come down off his throne and sell it to me.

Kneel before Zod!

Just whip out the Amex & quit your whining! Better yet, bring cash :D

I dont think a 4 ior 5 incher will be much a hazard (thats what she said). Feed him well, and youll be fine.

Waiting on you guys to not retire on 1 sale of a skimma to me and we're golden! :tease:

Doesn't a Harlequin Tusk eat inverts like crabs / shrimp / snails like a clown trigger? Both of those fish are cool, but it would suck to sacrifice the clean up crew.

If we have to wait on you to retire, we're going to have a loooooooooong working life :tease:

Anyway, as Jeremy put it, keep him well fed & you won't have to worry about it. He's an expert on 4 inchers.

On the first day it got bully by my Sailfin tang. So he hide under one of the rock cave for couple of days.

Where did you get yours? Is it Australian or Indo?

cool..

He's Australian

Yup, seems like we're not going to move forward like I hoped. Thanks though.

I want to keep the tusk if I can so we'll see.

So you guys don't have any issues with these eating your inverts? If not, i'm gonna get one too. They look really cool.

There is a fire shrimp in my current tank that I'm moving to the frag tank during my tank upgrade over the next month or so.

He rides my eel's head around, he's a keeper. :)

Mine always chased new wrasse around a little when first added but nothing that would end up killing them.
