Help DIY Ca Reactor

cpvc is just smaller diameter pvc (only intended for the "spraybar")...can be found at any hardware store.

Oops,
that happens when I make up my own abbreviations - I meant:

Clear PVC

Let me revive this thread - who is up for a DIY day?

Tracy,
can you please provide the "shopping list" - I really need to get this started.

Robb

I am in for the DIY day. If it is still in the works.

I met with Tracy (grimreefer) on saturday - I really hope he is up to teach us how he built his. Very neat and efficient reactor.

Anyone has a City Plumbing close by?
They have super large filter housings that would be dieal for this application - their website doesn't have pics and their stores are way too far for me.

I am putting together the shoppinglist as I type this, but I need someone to tell me where to buy this:

Rumors say City Plumbing has them for like 50$ - can someone check that? Their website sucks BIG time - no pictures for their articles.

I am willing to have that DIY day at my house - we only need to find where to buy the parts first...

The two cheap ones are too small - the larger one works.
You basically build a bubble plate and reverse the flow, the recirculating is then made with a small pump in line.

I have the blueprint here - but it's useless without a cheap chamber...

Looking good,

heading over there in a few to check it out in person.

Thanks Tony!

I found these premaid calcium reactors for $55 4"x18" its just the basic you add the parts....

Lowes runs you 49 + taxes, they have it usually in stock with the clear housing.
I also bought a Phosban reactor and will have a look at Williams find - let's see which housing works best and is the least expensive.
