Higher levels of KH and CA in the morning

I've noticed that my KH and CA (which move together with my CA reactor) seem to be higher in the morning than later in the day. Does that make sense? Perhaps it's related to the lighting cycle.

Just curious -- and an opportunity to learn more about the hobby.
