Hydor Koralia powerheads

Great. It seems like a good product. But I haven't had very good experience with Hydor. IMO they don't make very quality products but please let me know how you like them later on and see how long they last.

Hmmmm. I'll be adding these to my equipment list. I've been looking for a decent powerhead to run with the RKII. I have Seio's right now and they don't seem to enjoy being turned on.

Well heres some pics.

Thats just dust on the mount not scratches.Im amazed what my camera picks up.I didnt even notice that it had any dust on it until i saw the pic for myself. I had to double check that my mount wasnt scratched up.

a closed loop is the use of a drain from your tank to supply a pump that returns the water back to the tank. All in one continuos loop without going to a sump or anything else.

here ya go.these should help you out.

I'm planning on getting a pair of these and controlling them with a wavemaker as well. Please keep us updated as to how they do! Also, how fast do you plan on cycling these (on/off time)?

Thanks

They do not recommend using these on a wavemaker that cycles them off. They do make a slight clicking noise on startup,i did not realize it the first time i turned them on last night.I messed around with it a little this morning to see if i could hear anything. The noise happens very fast unlike the maxijet mods which can do that repeatedly until thay start to run the right way..Im going to be using a seio controller on them instead of a wavemaker.

The noise is a show stopper for me. I wouldn't mind the Seio controller is if it had the ability to controll more than 2 powerheads. I hope Hydor decides to make a 3 or 4 powerhead controller for these powerheads

you can control more then 2 powerheads with a seio controller.you just need to use a three way plug or a plugstrip and plug one into each plug on the controller.

Sounds like a good idea. It would seem like this would create a power issue with powerheads. Is it safe to assume you have tested this or spoke to someone that has used this setup? Do you know how far apart the plugs are on the Seio controller?
