Ice cap gyre verses jebao gyre. Who wins?

No. You don’t use the controller for the icecap. You can order pump only and the adapter and it connects directly to the wave engine. You can run 4 of them per eave engine.

The "powered by Hydros" printed on the Icecap controller is why I was asking:

The icecap controller connects to the hydros app and you can have more than 4 pumps /controllers attached via WiFi. The wave engine connects to the pumps and becomes the controller.

Yeah sorry. You mentioned wave engine, so I was speaking about that. It saves you from buying controllers and just buying raw pumps.

You can use the software with the IceCap controller as Dave mentioned.

I got the controller and 2x 2k pumps today. I am very impressed with them. Gyre pumps always looked kind of fragile to me but these are very well built. They are easy to setup though the app. Not I need to figure out what flow pattern is best for my tank.
