Howdy everyone! This is the journal for my new 20G peninsula reef. I’ve been in the hobby for nearly 20 years and have to say this is my dream tank 
. It is an upgrade from my smaller 10G UNS peninsula and with the new light I will be able to stock some great SPS which I’m super excited about. The transfer was just completed yesterday so the AP9X is in acclimation mode, but I rented a PAR meter and once it’s up to the 40-45% intensity (preset Tuna Blue) the PAR readings are perfect for acros up at the top (350-450) and some lower par SPS and LPS mid-level (175-275) with my RFAs and softies getting around 125-150 at the bottom. The impetus for this upgrade was my beautiful blue mandarin, Regina 
who has grown fat on pods in my old setup and was ready for more room. She’s captive bred and was .75” when I got her eating pellets but my system had so many pods and mysis she switched back and grew extremely quickly. She’s now at 1.5” and I wanted to do right by her and let her continue her growth in a roomier reef. For anyone wondering I do add pods every month but with the mini fuge in the new system and the porosity and hidey-holes of the gorgeous piece of Tonga I got, I think there should be enough.

• 3 banggai cardinals
• 8 Mini RFA’s
• 10 sexy shrimp
• LPS: blastomussa, favia, acanthastrea, hammer
• Softies: star polyps, assorted mushrooms
Plan to add:
• Fire shrimp
• Assorted SPS
• Assorted LPS
