My wife asked me what I wanted for my bday and I was thinking of asking her for 2 RW8s. Are 2 pumps to much? Should I go with just 1? Maybe bigger pumps?

I have a 90 and I purchased 2 RW-8's. I am now trying to swap with someone for 15's.

I have a 29 gal. presently but would love to upgrade.

I think 1 rw8 would suffice in a 29. Depends on how soon you plan on upgrading and the size you plan on going.

I would probably do RW-4's on a 30" tank.

I'll be putting 2 rw-4's on my 37 (basically the same size just a little taller) once I pic everything up from the group buy in a week or 2. If you can wait that long I'll be able to give you some input

We are expecting at the end of Sept. so I don't think it will be anytime soon unless I find a great deal on something used.

I can definitely wait. I am still researching my options.

As mentioned above, you could do 2 rw4's but depending on the size of the future upgrade I would do 1 rw8. The 1 rw8 gives you some room to grow into.
