I guess this isn't really a Nano Reef tank but figured this was the best place to post my new Set-Up.. Really need to pay my dues and become a Member again then I'll have this moved over to the Members Tanks section.

As I stated in another thread, I recently took a 4 month hiatus from the Hobby, but after a snorkeling trip in the Bahamas decided this Hobby is something I just cannot live without.

After logging back into the ARC the first thread I read was Bobz breeding journal on the Seahorses and right then and there decided I've got to give raising some Ponies a try.

I initialy wanted to go with a Cube type set-up do to the fact that the height of the tanks is so appealing and is actually something most suggest for seahorses no matter what type they are. But after the wife gave me the only location she would allow me to put another set-up I wasn't sure that a cube would work.

I convinced the wifey to drive me around all day yesterday just to do some initial looking at tank sizes and what not. Well we all know how that story ends. So here's what I picked up!

When I first saw the tank I wasn't sure what size it was, I had never seen a tank with these dims. 10w x 20l x 24.5h turns out it was a 20h just not the same dims as your everyday 20h. I was told that only Marineland makes this size tank but I haven't bothered to research that yet. The Pro to this tank is it will fit great in the area my wife has allowed. The Con is the 10" width. The Aquascaping on this is going to be a Pain to get right, but much thought on the fact that the tank will consist of mostly diffrent types of Macros I decided to take it home.

On the way home home the wife asked if she could stop by Wal-mart to grab a few things, since she had been driving me around all day I gladly agreed. Besides we all know that Wal-mart sells 10 Gallon Tanks for $10 and I will most definately be needing one to transform into a sump.. Low and Behold on that same aisle I found a cool stand that is made for a 20-29 Gallon tank and of course snagged it to.. The nice thing about the stand is it comfortably holds a 10 gallon tank underneath. SCORE!

I'm uploading some pictures now because I know everyone on this site is a Picture Whore... Be back in a Few..

Here's the New Tank and Stand with my 20" Sunpod 70W MH Light currently running a New 14K Bulb. I may step up the lighting a little to a 150MH but for now this should suffice.

I plan on Spraying the back and bottom of the Tank a Bright Blue.

I also forgot to mention that while I was out I picked up about 10lbs. of Base rock. I went ahead and put this 10lbs. into the 10 Gallon with a HOB filter and a Korilia Nano and 5 Gallons of RO Saltwater just to get things going. I plan on getting another 10lbs. of Cured Liverock this week hoping to find a sponser with some Marshall Island rock.

I love the dimensions of that tank! Going to look great with some ponies in it.

Stand is cool looking too.

Are you going to drill it or run an overflow box?

au01st- The dimensions are great just not as wide as I would have hoped for.. Actually trying to find some info pon the tank right now to see if I can drill it or not.. Notice in the Pictures the tank is over some cherry Hardwood and they don't like water very much so I'm hoping I don't have to go with an Overflow box..

Just Found it -Panels Tempered- NONE! Time to break out the drill.. I think I'm going to go with a Coast to coast style..

Tank Broke!!!!!!!!! Plumbing was dryfit and I moved something I shouldn't have...

MODS Please delete this thread!!! I'll post a new Build of the Pony Tank I'm b uilding now, it's alot diffrent or I would have just stayed here..
