Hello All
Tonight at around 11pm I witnessed my red acan release two white-ish tiny balls (around the size of an eraser tip). I was able to catch the balls in a net; however, they quickly dissolved into even smaller balls (micro bubble size). After doing some reading on the internet, I have discovered that my acan has just released eggs and sperm at the same time.
Has anyone here ever seen this happen before? If so, has anyone ever seen new baby acans grow in other parts of the tank?
I found the information about the breeding at the following website...

FYI – if anyone would like to get their acan in the mood, they seem to like watching South Park in the moonlight. J
