I just found this site and thought I'd say from Acworth. I had no idea there was a local forum dedicated the SW hobby. I've been a member of Fishlore for about a year now but thought I'd poke around here as well.

Anyways...my tank is a 65 gallon reef. The tank itself has been up for 11 months now but I started on the reef part of it back around April when Marine Fish had that huge weekend sale this past spring.

My tank currently has 2 ocellaris clowns (though one maybe a true perc), a yellow tang, a flame angel, a bicolor pseudochromis and one green chromis. Add to that some snails. For coral I have a frogspawn (which my clowns love), yellow polyps, green brain, green and blue mushrooms, purple brush gorgonia, pink birds nest, plus others which their names escape me.

My biggest issue right now is just diatoms. After I started getting into corals, I realized I needed to get better lighting. After I upgraded that, the diatoms came back with a vengance after being gone for a good while. Meh...I'm sure they'll end up going away eventually. Of course that's also the time I started making my own SW (yes using a RO/DI unit).

Beyond that though, my tank is nice and stable and the coraline algae has been exploding on my LR!! And on a few spots on the glass..and anything plastic.... lol

Sounds nice, welcome to the club. Let me know if you need help with the tank as im in Acworth too.

Welcome from Kingston, Ga (just above Cartersville). My son is Saltwater Junky...he works at Saltwater City. Glad to see more people in the northwest of this state.
Melody:yay:

Most of my pics are now months old. As is the lack of diatoms in the pics that I currently have. But they are good pics of some of my fish.

My fire shrimp:

I found a couple more and put them online.

Here is another one of my clowns poking his head out of my frogspawn coral:

Thanks. My older Olympus camera takes great close up pics. I just wish my newer Canon took close ups as good. But then again the Olympus has 10x optical zoom which gives it a nice size lens. Unfortunately my wife cleaned up the kitchen and moved a whole bunch of stuff in the kitchen where my charger was and now it's missing. And she has no idea where she moved it.....:shout:

Welcome! We have only been members for a few months now and it has been amazing the amount of things we have learned by just reading the posts and asking a few questions of our own along the way. The folks in this club are always a great help and the few that we have had the pleasure of meeting have been fantastic. Hope you enjoy being a part of the ARC!
