The 180 is progressing nicely, had a few algae blooms but everything seems to be settling in. Currently working on adding a 80g rimless into the build. Have the tank, working on the stand now, also have a jump start on the plumbing. This will be plumbed directly into the current system. I received the tank for a steal so I had to jump on it, always wanted a rimless. Not sure if I am going to set it up as a frag tank or try to do a specialty tank. Still toying with a few ideas.
Automated my 2 part dosing with a couple BRS dosing pumps hooked up to the apex. Also switched salts over the past month to RC. No point in paying out the ... for salt when I am monitoring most of my levels closely. I am also taking a new approach to water changes after speaking with a few experienced (10+ years) reefers. Going from 10% per week to about 20-25% every two weeks. I have already seen more polyp extension and more stability while testing this out.
Sump has been invaded with pods:up:
Have also added a few new fish and corals -
melanurus wrasse
yellow watchman paired with pistol shrimp
2 maroon clowns
tailspot blenny (may have been eaten, haven't seen him in 2 weeks)
All the fish, aside from the missing blenny are doing well. The UV has seemed to knock out whatever infection or parasite invaded my tank about 14 weeks ago. Will post some new pics soon
